Good morning! I'm very excited to announce the first production of CalBizLit Media.
Starting later this week, we'll be presenting weekly podcasts by Professor Steven Finz. Professor Finz runs www.advancecollege.org, where he produces monthly audio summaries of the latest developments in California tort law and bi-monthly audio summaries of recent developments in Civil Procedure, Discovery and Evidence. Our firm has subscribed to first his tapes, and more recently his CDs, for many years, and they are terrific. We've also had him speak at our firm retreats, and he is both entertaining and educational. You can learn more about his service here, and order a complimentary CD from either the tort series or the civil procedure series here.
The first podcast, featuring recent developments in personal jurisdiction and class certification, will be coming up later this week, and we're about to add a left column to this blawg where we will list the podcasts as we add them.
New Location for Off-Topic Posts
And, moving from the sublime to the ridiculous, www.CalBizLitAfterHours.com is now up and running. What used to be the "off-topic posts" will now go there, and right now, you can read about the late trumpet player Freddie Hubbard, six movies I liked, and Al Kooper. You can also see video of my all-time guitar hero, Michael Bloomfield. Or you can skip the whole thing, and stay here for more posts on California law.
