The Defense Research Institute is the international organization of attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation. The DRI Product Liability Committee is
one of its largest and most active committees. Next week, from April 15 to 17, the Product Liability Committee will be holding its annual meeting in San Diego. This year's looks like a good one: the theme is "It’s Not Easy Being Green: Navigating the New Landscape of Product Liability Law." Speakers include California's Associate Supreme Court Justice Chin, the very popular law professor, and now Dean of U.C. Irvine's Law School Erwin Chemerinsky and a number of top product liability defense practitioners.
In a first for CalBizLit, I'll be chained to my laptop computer and live-blogging, or at least providing session summaries soon after they occur. If you are attending, let's compare notes. If you aren't, I hope my posts will give you a concise, quickly read summary of what's going on, with a California angle when appropriate. Either way, send me an e-mail ([email protected]) or leave a comment and tell me what you think.
